Important Seat Ordering Information

When ordering a seat you will need to include some important information that will allow us to customize the seat to fit your model of kayak:

Please indicate which model of kayak you have. Contact us first as there is a very good chance that we have already built a seat for your model of kayak, in which case you will not need to send us the  Cross-Sectional Template  but we will still need the  measurements indicated below:

  1. The distance from the floor of the kayak to the underside of the deck taken at the rear of the cockpit opening.

  2. The distance from the floor of the kayak to the top of the coaming taken at the rear of the cockpit opening.

​

  3. The distance from the floor of the kayak to the top of coaming taken 6” forward of the rear of the cockpit opening.

​

  4. The distance from the floor of the kayak to the top of coaming taken 14” forward of the rear of the cockpit opening.

  5. The distance from the rear bulkhead to the cockpit opening.

​

To take the measurements for  numbers 3 & 4 above, place a straight edge across the top of the coaming at 6” and then measure straight down to the center of the hull and then do the same with the straight edge at 14”.  See the example measurements below.
