Wood Strip Example

This photo is a close-up of a kayak hull that has been sanded and is awaiting fiberglass and epoxy. The contrasting light and dark colored strips of western red cedar have close to 90 growth rings per inch. We hand select every board from which our strips are milled and carefully choose only those that will yield clear, tight-grained, and full length strips.
